houlahoop 0
This morning Deb (my other half) decided that she was going car shopping. Her self imposed mission was to find a cheap, economical and comfortable 5dr car for her to run to and from work in and to pick the little one up from nursery.Apparently she is sick and tired of me buying cars with stupidly big engines that she cant see the point of, and doesnt enjoy driving, so, she narrowed it down to either a c-max, golf or leon. It was to have no more than a 1.6 engine, must be in a pretty colour and have blue tooth. After a couple of hours she finally settled on a car, took it for a test drive on her own, came back smiling like a cheshire cat and the deal was done! HaHa it wasnt until we were several miles away from the garage that I broke it to her that she had bought a Seat Leon Cupra 240bhp thats capible of 153mph.To say that this thing goes like stink is an understatment. Well done princess!! :-)Dont worry though, the VR still has pride of place in the drive, and had an extra special wash today, just to let it know its still loved. If any of you have had one of these Leon Cupras your thoughts and feedback would be appreciated. bungy 2
I had a Cupra on an 02 plate a few years back and it was ok but I think that one was 180bhp. I'm sure the R's are rapid. They are all VAG build quality anyway.
houlahoop 0
I must admit, i was really surprised with the handling and comfort, and the torque is incredible, still not a cool as a golf though lol, even though as she keeps reminding me, hers will be quicker, time for a turbo me thinks!! bungy 2
No better reason for going F/I...
VR6_Ben 0
I had a Cupra R a little while back and as an all rounder it was perfect. 210bhp with great handling and brembo 4 pots up front. With a cheeky re-map it would take it to 260 or so.The cupra is 180bhp and remapped should be approx 230.Great looking cars too!

ThermalP4 1
Nice purchase. I assume it's the new shape Leon with the 2.0TFSI 240bhp engine and not the old 1.8T then? Sold mine a couple of months ago. Amazing performance for the money and looks awesome. No VR sound though!
