richgti97 0
hi all, a while ago my vr overheated its oil and was leaking coolant and was really rattley (tappy) on the top end. only just got around too checking it out. Thought it was headgasket but upon removing the the head the gasket was fine..? have found a small leak from one of the oil cooler-block pipes.. i am going too replace the headgasket and get head skimmed now that i have removed it.. but i cant think of why the engine was rattley? could the oil just have been knackerd and this is wat caused the noise because im stuck for suggestions otherwise? any help/pointers would be helpfull thanks! richgti97 0
I have visually checked the cooler and looks fine but no way of telling if its doing its job. And the oil pressure is at 3-5bar so im assuming the oil pump etc..are ok aswell.?
