FishWick 21
FPR - standard one will be fine.If you want MSDs, these are the ones I've used - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-8224/They're bulky and don't last long.Other options:-http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DUI-31738/http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ACC-140035/Premade HT wires with EDIS ends for the above - http://www.fourseasontuning.com/index.php?product=834&product_code=56-1148-EDIS.REDThis is the one I currently use - http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/pdf/components/ignition_coils/3x2.pdfUnlike the EDIS one, it the bolt spacing is an exact match to the stock one. It's only 35KV, so not as strong as the EDIS, but it works fine on my VRT.
yakuza racer 16
so you saying the MSD is not that good, but i thought MSD was the bees?
FishWick 21
Have a search on the Vortex, they blow easily. MSD like anything else work fine in the environment they were designed for. They are Chevy V8 coils, not VR6 ;-)
yakuza racer 16
ok , now i get what you are saying....... so what would be the best option for me, i want another "performance" coilpack and plugs and leads. Please show me what would best suit my application, since you have done ALOT more than i would ever get around to doing loloh yes, thanks for the replies mate!!
FishWick 21
The Bosch or Ford EDIS we've already discussed mate.If you want a stronger spark that stock and want to use your stock leads, the Bosch is for you.If you want the strongest spark possible, you'll need the Ford EDIS ones I've been linking too, but that will need a change of leads and more fabrication work.
