jonny-5 10
I was reading a thread on the Corrado forum about swapping the adjustable column for the fixed type and the benefits that go with it. Has one done similar to their VR6 (or other or that matter)? I asume it would be pretty easy to source parts due to the abundance of low level mk3's with fixed columns that find there way into scrap yards. Here's the link to the-corrado forum: http://www.the-corrado.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=73848
Ben Seabrook 4
mmmm I have driven vr's with fixed and adjustable coloumn and cant say I noticed a huge difference, at one point he says it's better because he leans on the steering coloum when he gets in and out of the car and it feels sturdier !!! VR6Pete 1,455
I've heard alot of good feedback with it. I moved to a fixed colum in my mk2 golf during conversion and steering felt alot more precise. Will be looking to do the same on the Rado.
jonny-5 10
Maybe the mechanism is improved on the mk3? I may give it a go one day if I get bored
