moldtaff 0 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 Hi had my VR6 for almost 12 months now and to be honest she's been off the road more than she's been on it lol First prob was dreaded head gasket so had fixed then air con pump then starter then alternator list goes on then rear axle went and she ran great for 2 whole weeks then started to overheat again so returned to where had head gasket was done only to find it had gone again she is on a p plate 96 highline i'm loathed to part with her but starting to lose all faith in garages now after spending almost 3k on her the risk is now do i go for gasket or head replacemeant or complete engine replac emeant is there any members close to wrexham area n wales to come take a look and advise as i'm sick of taking her to garages and it seems most aint got a clue how to care for her i love the car and would hate to part with her so would really like a member who knows about the car to take a look and help recomend where to get the work done cheers Link to post Share on other sites
goonvr6 0 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 I'd say if it was only two weeks later then either the gasket was faulty or more than likely that the place that did it has made a mistake or not done it right the first time. Do you have a list of parts that they replaced when the did the headgasket? Link to post Share on other sites
