Come to the big end (con rod to crank) and found them pretty f*cked! but cant get any till monday then it cant be done till next saturday. Crank is fine, thank god! no wear or marks which is lucky! just hope it last another week! Been quoted about £70 for all 12 shells for big end. legvw 0 Posted January 8, 2011 Report Share Posted January 8, 2011 Doesn't sound good if you've got metalic oil in the filter housing. Take the sump off and have a look at your big end bearings and crank to see what condition they are in.Sorry to hear it :-( Link to post Share on other sites
