pfennell 0 Posted December 24, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 24, 2010 thought id have a go at making an aluminium short runner..after 2 weeks of fabrication all that was needed was a weld to seal it.fitted perfect until i tried with the engine fitted i had made it too deep and was too close to the fan and bonnet.next time i will measure it when the engines in..... pfennell 0 Posted December 25, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 25, 2010 i used 4mm ply and spray glued some thin carpet to it,,i 2 hinges just b4 the spare wheel so i could still get to it,just put the hinges under the ply so u get a smooth finish and cut the ply from using the old carpet as a template...very easy and cheap... pfennell 0 Posted December 25, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 25, 2010 the back of the car is pretty all at the height anyway.i screwed down the front and just b4 the spare wheel hole,at the back to stop it from bouncing all over either use velcro or magnets,magnets were the better option just for noise sakes...
