mk3_matt 21 Posted November 14, 2010 Report Share Posted November 14, 2010 hi ive just done a engine conversion in my mk3 golf the vr6 engine ran fine before i removed it but now when i start it it doesnt seem 2 wanna stay started ive check the fuel pump thats fine... the old car had a alarm on it but when i removed the loom i disconnected it all out ... any body had this trouble before anythink i can test.... ive hit a brick wall and just wanna drive the car but cant..thanks matt Link to post Share on other sites

p0u1 14 Posted November 15, 2010 Report Share Posted November 15, 2010 dose it start and run for about 3 secounds every time because thatss what mine done affter the swap, i had to get the immobilizer removed, talk to UnitedMotorsport, they can remove it, also if you can use vagcom it will tell you if it is the imobiliser stopping it from running Link to post Share on other sites

mk3_matt 21 Posted November 16, 2010 Author Report Share Posted November 16, 2010 Last nite I unplug the ecu 2 get the part number of off it then plug it in 2day and the car ran fine no problems then I turned it off then bout 10 mins later went 2 start it up same problem again does this still sound like ecu immobiliser 2 u also if I try a obd1 ecu will it work ok Link to post Share on other sites
