vr6 wont stay running

hi ive just done a engine conversion in my mk3 golf the vr6 engine ran fine before i removed it but now when i start it it doesnt seem 2 wanna stay started ive check the fuel pump thats fine... the old car had a alarm on it but when i removed the loom i disconnected it all out ... any body had this trouble before anythink i can test.... ive hit a brick wall and just wanna drive the car but cant..

What is the part number of the ECU? It may be the internal immobilizer.

Ill check that 2morra can I put a different ecu on it then and that will make it run

dose it start and run for about 3 secounds every time because thatss what mine done affter the swap, i had to get the immobilizer removed, talk to UnitedMotorsport, they can remove it, also if you can use vagcom it will tell you if it is the imobiliser stopping it from running

258CH has an internal immobilizer - Did you use the black box and the key from the donor car?

Last nite I unplug the ecu 2 get the part number of off it then plug it in 2day and the car ran fine no problems then I turned it off then bout 10 mins later went 2 start it up same problem again does this still sound like ecu immobiliser 2 u also if I try a obd1 ecu will it work ok

Your ECU is OBD1!

Defo is an immo problem you have there.

Fort it was obd2 my car has a coil pack so any ideas wat 2 check

258CH Is an OBD1 ECU.

Sounds like the black immo box has thrown its toys out of the pram.

I would say it sounds like an ECU problem. Get it sent off, bet they cure the issue (H)

rite the vr runs ok now just got a problem trying 2 bleed the water system is there a special way 2 do it on these

fill it to the max level, turn the motor on and let it run without the water cap on, carry on toping it up as it falls all the way till it stops falling.
