i was just wondering if anyone can answer a couple questions for me as i just wanna check everything seems right before i drive my car after ive fitted my coilovers. safety first n all that jazz.

1. removed original top mount and bushing and it was in good shape, when re-fitted the topmount doesnt actually screw down with the new nut, i can pull it off after ive tightened the bushing down, is this normal? its all fitted tight on the car at the mo and looks right but as i say i havent driven it yet.

2. is 133ft/lbs of torque correct for camber bolts? seems like i cant tighten them anymore than they already are and i havent clicked the torque wrench yet?

3. this is a dumbass one but... how do you guys tighten the top mount nut with a torque wrench? it just spins after turning so much because of the piston inside, i know theres a allen key hole but how can i hold that in if im torqing? i have an air impact setup tho should i just blast it with that?

ok think thats all sorry to bombard you all with questions alot but i just dont wana do anything majorly wrong, cheers for any help :)

Im no mechanic but fairly handy DIYer, fitted suspension kits and coilovers on three different cars.

I personally didnt worry to much about torquing up the top mount nut, give it a light blast with impact wrench but not mega tight you may want to remove it one day. Basically because the piston spins the not will never work its way lose.

not really sure about your first problem, when you say you can pull off the top mount after it has been tightened down do you just mean the rubber cone that makes contact with the shell of the car?

cheers mate ill blast it down a bit with the impact then. Yea the ruuber mount i can just pull off, well not now cos its uner the strut bolted up etc. When it was on the original suspension it wudnt budge until i compressed the springs and took the old nut off so i just wondered if its safe as its now on my car?
