fritzenberg 3
i had a powerflow cat back fitted a while ago at `drivers` in glasgow.when i collected the car they said they had to removesome rear axle support thingy to get the intermediate silencer to fit,i didn`t like the sound of this and when the carwas in for it`s last service i was told the silencer is far to closeto the axle(about 1/4"),also when i floor it and the back endsquats you can hear the exhaust rattle against the axle.i want to go back and kick up hell ~ ,couldn`t they just fit a smaller silencer?will the lifetime guarantee cover this?has anyone else experienced this with powerflow zorsts?sorry to go on but it`s starting to wind me up a bit.thanks! MrBen 0
Take it back and make them sort it. The whole point of a Powerflow exhaust is it's custom built to fit the car, and clearly they haven't managed this! I had a Powerflow centre section on my GTI which fitted perfectly and has never caused any issues - they certainly didn't need to do anything to the rear axle to fit it! nickg123 0
First of all they should NEVER have touched another part of your car WITHOUT asking first.Secondly they should have ensured that it did not catch when under load.I would personally drive round there and offer to take the manager up the road, and see if he would be happy if this was his car. There's so many cowboys around now working on cars - no wonder people are scared to take them anywhere.Get on the phone - book it in, if they don't help drive round there and don't leave until they look at it! stu h 0
there was a powerflow on my corrado when i got it. It was a nice quiet system amd when it was up on the ramps and my mechanic got chance to look at it, it was really well done (think it was fitted by a place in doncaster)however, my mate had one on his car but had nothing but problems (fitted in coventry) some powerflow dealers are sh** and some are good, dont think powerflow are fussy enough about who deals their stuff..anyway, I take it back and demand that sort it there and then. btw is it a corrado or golf? MrBen 0
If Drivers aren't helpful I would imagine you might have some facility to complain to Powerflow themselves, as they authorise the dealers.
