Climatronic question

problem i have is that the climatronic turns on every morning with a different temp/fan speed. Is there anyway of leaving it off. I dont really use this much so it bugs me when it turns on as soon as i turn the ignition on. Also It flashes with some random digits on the display.

It may do this if you have a fault on the system. Get it on the vag-com and perform diagnostics.

Yeah its a fault that needs reading by VAGCOM mine is the same.....could be that if it has no gas in it for the aircon.

I think that may be the answer. No cold air through mine...will gas it up and go from there. Thanks!

Make sure you get it on VagCom first, pointless gassing it up if the codes come up with a different problem.

Also make sure the fault codes are cleared then run the car as it is with the fault and see what code it comes up with, old codes may still be logged and you dont want to be chasing a fault that isn't there.

i thought you could do a check by pressing some of the buttons on the unit itself

you could try this mate read down a bit and it tells you how to do and what the codes mean
