jamiej 0
Hi all,I recently purchased some 509T blulbs from Evilleds thru eBay for my Mk3 golf VR6 OBD2the blubs are great, no issues there, but the fitment to my clocks is not that great.I am thinking that maybe i have put them in incorrectly, through the hole in the top and "twist" ...The lights are still a bit wobbly and the connection will almost certainly be lost when going over any bumps in the road etc.Can anybody help, any retro mods that can be done to make the fitment tighter, i thought of using tin foil to pack them in, what do you recon. OR do you think i am being an indiot and the lights are not correctly fitted.ThanksJamie
spadam 7
Was it easy to change dash lights as the lights dont work on my speedo so hard to see at night was thinking of replacing them but thought it would be an arse of a job.
jamiej 0
Its easy to do yea, have to take out the air vent covers, undo about 6 screws, take the facia off and then roll the clocks forward, you can change the bulbs without actually taking the clocks out.If you want a guide, im sure there is one on here somewhere, or PM me and i'll let you know how i did mine. You just need to be careful though as some of the screws that you take out can easily end up in the heater system or down behind your steering wheel. Also massively helps if your steering wheel is height adjustable.any ideas on the bulb fitment guys and gals ? Rikki 2
Just bend the metal contact parts so they are closer together....then they should be tighter once twisted!
