smudge229 0 Posted August 12, 2010 Report Share Posted August 12, 2010 I have recently broken the cam chain in my sharan VR6, luckily I was coasting slowly round a roundabout when it happened. rolled into a bus stop on the momentum & called the mechanics out who kindly told me what they're sure I've done.The car has done 180,000 odd miles and was in great working condition as well as good bodywork. A VW specialist has said it's going to cost me around £2500.00 to replace including a clutch plate renewal. Does this sound about right???Can anybody advice me please.
