chris4motion 0
Hi everyone im new on here , i have just got a 2002 4motion v6 golf for a very decent price , the only problem im having with it is the esp is not working . I think the light should come on with the ignition and then go off when you start the enigne but the light never comes on and the esp does not work at all , i have used vagcom on it and it came up with a steering angle sensor fault but this has been clears and has not come back , does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong ?cheers

bungy 2
Do it yourself and save loads of dosh. Dealers charge anything up to £150 for this and it only costs £30 in parts. http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?185350
chris4motion 0
Do you think a service could sort the problem ?
bungy 2
First and foremost you need to run a Vagcom scan to see exactly what's going on and the service will give you an indication of condition. If it has never been done and there are some that haven't, it could be part of the problem. If the car has been chipped and the ESP has been completely switched off this may play a part. Start with the basics and work your way through.
