matty.vrt 120
if you go on wheel whores they have a pretty cool calculator personaly ide aim for 15mm on the front and 20mm on the rear
VR6Gill 1
I dont mean to sound dumb but I havent got a clue about these things. What does the 15 and 20mm mean??? and what about bolts and locking nuts - any special requirements?Has anyone else fitted Porsche 9's on the back and if so what mods are required if any?I have just contacted FK to become a distributor so hopefully will get the adapters cheap. 8-)
VR6_Absy 0
Just had a quick look at this using the ETs you've quotedFronts 7.5" ET52 would require 20mm PCD adaptorsRears 9" ET47 will need no more than 15mmArches will def need rolling, some stretch and poss a slight pull and no passengers to keep it low ;-)
VR6Gill 1
I dont mind raising the car a bit - to be honest it scrubs like a b**** at the moment on standard VR6 15's
VR6_Absy 0
Compared to standard 15" BBSFronts with 20mm will sit 16mm further out 10mm less clearance inboardRears with 15mm will sit 35mm further out 29mm less clearance inboard

VR6Gill 1
You could say that - £150 but need a good refurb and now i got some spare tyres for my
VeedubVR 0
Tyres id go for 195/40 up front and 205/40 for the backs. Id get the arches rolled otheriwse they will catch. How you want them sitting? Do you want them flush to the arches or a slight bit of poke?
VR6Gill 1
The tyres your recommend would they be normal fit or will they be stretched?Arches should be rolled in a week or 2 but i want to avoid having the arches pulled as im not sure if 9" on the rear is too wide.Flush im thinking. bungy 2
Good quality wheels like those are all the more easier to refurb as they will have loads of primer and base coat to smooth them out.
VR6Gill 1
I will do most of the prep work myself but then have them professionally sprayed. What do you guys think... keep them silver of have them sprayed in black? I have seen a pic of a red VR6 with these wheels in black for sale and i do like them but dont know if it will look good againt the mulberry paint.
