VeedubVR 0
Changing the oil yesturday and noticed theres a few scrapes on the sump from where its been catching. The sump plug is even worse. Done a bit of research and the R32 seems a shallower sump but heard if it hits it will shatter unlike the VR sump which is stronger. Where can I get a strong shallow sump? Im know im going ot need a new oil pump and pick up (R32?)I dont see the point in running a sump guard becasue it only reduced clearance. Unles I get a shallow sump and raise the engine then fit 1 or a skid plate then the clearance might be the same but it wont be worse. I have thought about engine spacers, but how big do the spacers need to be? Does it add extra stress when raising he engine on other parts? Thanks
CALICO 130
i think the r32 sump is about 1"-11/2"s shallower so you would be better fitting that and a sump guard if its possible you are low enough to damage the sump
VeedubVR 0
Never thought of that option haha. Any companies that do shallow sumps?Whats size spacers for the engine spacers? (or is it not advised raising the engine?)
