bonesvr6 0
getting a bit nervous now, +o(sorted out; a hole in the passenger footwell, a hole in each rear footwell, changed the lamdda and temp sensor because it was runing stupidly rich when i first bought it, realised the exhhaust was starting to look a bit shabby with a few cracks at the welds, so ditched it in favour of a supersprint centre pipe and back box, did a full blown service and found out why it was a bit missfirey first thing in the morning and down on power.......a spark plug was completeley cracked!!!! ditched the morretes for a set of standard headlights because the morettes were spanered so you couldnt line up the beams and they used to bounce everywhere. and getting two new rear tyres today aswell!so hopefully (fingers crossed) it goes through first time! :-ddont mind doing the work because i did get the car silly cheap! so had to expect a few problems!:S

j1jon 0
My mate got his vr for cheap dude and it's never let him down! Few niggley bits but nowt major.
bonesvr6 0
well it failed but only on a bit of welding that needs doing on the rear sill under the rear o/s door. (about 4-5 inch rotte through) when i was washing it this morning i got the hose caught and it popped the back of the sill cover off so the tester could see inside......... :S so going to get the welder cracked out tonight and get it back tomorrow for the certificate.but apart from that it flew through! :-dthats been the same with this one really Jon, paid £124 for it from me mate after it was impounded for the second time for no insurance! so just paid the impound fee. and it had 9 months tax and test aswell, although i reckon it was a dodgy one because it wouldnt develop 3 rusted through holes within a year. j1jon 0
You cant say fairer than that @ that price dude! Reyt bargain! You could break it for more than that mate!Hope the welding goes ok tonight and its back on the road tomorrow
bonesvr6 0
im hoping the welding goes ok aswell.....the plan is, going round to me mates and were going to crack open a few beers and get on with it, but from past experiance when we rebuilt his offroader last year. :S we would crack open the beers and just sit in the garage getting more and more drunk then go to the pub....so we'l seewas tempted to break it and get meself another mk 2 but its supposed to be the "family" car so its staying as a mk3....for now.but for just over £100 for the car, and ive spent about 300 getting the niggly bits sorted and servicing it. i could sell it for a decent profit, but i reckon it will stay, i like the wolf in sheeps clothing aspect of it!haha
