SW VR6 0
Ever since I had my timing chains done, the car has been springing into life at 1200rpm from cold - lasts for around 1 min and then idles nicely again. Am I right in thinking that the ECU has to 're-learn' your typical engine behaviour after the battery has been disconnected?I'm just wondering whether this is a result of the car being held a at 1200 rpm to check for chain rattle after the chains were replaced. If this was done 2 or 3 times by the mechanic, is it possible that this would have fooled the ECU into thinking that 1200rpm was the normal idle on startup?Anyway, any thoughts appreciated. Anyone know how long I need to disconnect the battery for to reset everything?
