abe_mk2_vr6 0
Hi, I have a Mk2 VR6 With A clicking noise which comes from the left side of the engine as you look at it Which to me sounds like a bearing Fault, Iv had a few people look at it but they seem to be guessing as to what the problem could be - Water pump, piston slap, tappets. and they all seem a bit cautious of doing the work! Can anyone recommend a good mechanic that are not scared of vr6s??I live in Barnsley south yorkshire, so would prefer not to go much further than leeds or Sheffield if possibleThanks
xyber 1
try changing the oil and filter first off, it cures alot of nasty noises on VRs
russj249 2
Aren't the aux belt tensioners prone to going on the VR's? I can't remember but could be the bearings in that going.

T0NYVR6 2
We have a VW/Audi/Scoda specialist who builds and repairs moddified cars, can't say I've ever used them as I try to do my own work on the car but the stuff they have parked outside looks top notch. There based in Chesterfield here's their linkhttp://www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk/
