Please can you advise ladies and gents of what i require in respect to parts etc and who to get from. I have GSF / EURO / and VW near by. Does the head set give me everything I need. acf8181 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Share Posted January 5, 2005 head gasket, rocker cover gasket (is prob old), head bolts, sealant for upper cam cover (vauxhall do a good, cheap one), oil, coolant, lower-to-uppper inlet manifold gasket.thats about it i think. oh, may be a good idea to get a new upper timing chain bolt tensioner...otherwise you'll have to bleed the current one.as for where to get this stuff from, start by asking gsf and ecp if their parts are genuine ones, if they are get them there as will be much cheaper than vw. acf8181 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Share Posted January 5, 2005 oh, should have warned you...it was when i changed my head gasket that i noticed my tming chain runners were about to wear through...so check them and be prepared for a big job if theres any prob with them...but better to know than wait till they let go. Just trying to get hold of some facilities through my job. We mend tanks all day but not civvy cars, so got to do some wheelin and dealin and see if another army workshop will let me use their facilities. fingers crossed! Link to post Share on other sites

This would give me the exact same symptoms!!!!! without CO2 testing, i cant confirm the head. Anyone ever bought one, estimated costs??? Link to post Share on other sites
