Or is ir it someone else?[/quote']yeh that was me hehe i just didnt trust it tbhand an off the shelf map can never be as good as a proper rolling road session simply because every engine is different + i have a few mods which confuse things even further i shall only use stealth for things like that as they have a great reputation and i dont wanna risk hurtin my baby Link to post Share on other sites

The bloke said that he could chip my motor but certainly not with a plug in chip in the ECU. Take my advice, DO NOT, start chipping your motors by opening the ECU, leave electronics to the experts. At least you have some come back. An ECU can be damaged so easily, and lets face it. As SLIM said, If we could gain 14BHP, we would all be doin it on the cheap. I am studying about chipping and tuning at the mo to improve my mechanic background, not easy stuff!!! Link to post Share on other sites
Eat this 2 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Share Posted January 6, 2005 a guy bought a 200 sx s13 ecu box and a stage 2 chip into work today and asked me to solder it in i am doin it but have read the instructions and amongst other things it says ALWAYS use at least 97 ron fuel ir needs an intercooler an uprated turbo and a 15 psi boost controller and the ignition timing needs to be altered or he will get detonation i have my doubts weather the guy has done all of the above if he hasnt i think he WILL kill his motor Link to post Share on other sites
