mikey 0 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 hi guys does any one know if the 4wd system is a 50 50 split the reason being is we have had the idea of building a rwd mk 3 by removeing the front driveshafts and leaving the rest wasnt sure if all the power woulg go to the backs any suggestions greatly appreciated Link to post Share on other sites

legvw 0 Posted April 27, 2010 Report Share Posted April 27, 2010 Syncro is basically the same as haldex, once the fronts 'spin' power is used from the prop to power rears to minimise the fronts spinning. Syncros use a viscous coupling, rather than a wet clutch (haldex). Nether can be used as rwd only, it just won't work. Link to post Share on other sites
