Netgeezer 0 Posted March 12, 2010 Report Share Posted March 12, 2010 Hi all,I've just fitted Eibach springs to replace a couple of cracked ones on my 4mo, and found that the brakes are really getting a bit low all round!On my GTi (gone to a better place) I changed to Black Diamond discs and road pads, but I really don't know what to choose for this car.I don't really want to spend a fortune, however I do like upgrading parts when older parts need changing. It's an infrequent driver, covering maybe 4k a year tops, I drive it hard (ish) and my wife drives it with the kids, so decent brakes are a priority...What do you think? golfrabbit33 0 Posted June 14, 2010 Report Share Posted June 14, 2010 the discs will want changing soonish, i asked my mechanic and thats what he said . callipers and pads are used but working perfectly, really good clean up wouldnt go a miss. and a few spots of laquer peel. no paint damage though. as honest as i can be ! because of discs £220 !
