AJmk2 2
HelloIm looking at possibly getting one made up but would be good if i had some interest as if can get a few made up will obviously be cheaper for everyone. Will be like the schrick ,but without the variable valve so hoping for still good torque but with better flow top end. What kind of power gains would people like to see to make it worthwhile?Im guessing a price of around the £500-600 which is half the schrick.

legvw 0
Imo, for that sort of price you might as well have some head work done. The most restrictive part of the intake would be in the size of the valves. If you can fit larger valves then you'll gain alot more flow top end.

AJmk2 2
Yea i guess when look at it properly may as well swap for the 24valve motor and be done with it.
FishWick 21
/\ Yep.You can't get much bigger valves in a stock 12V head and it makes little difference anyway. Need to start over with a new casting like Schrick did (IIRC). Bigger valves, bigger ports, the lot. Despite that, it's still way off what even a 2.8 24V can flow. R32 heads flow even more!
