charge cooler pipes questions

i need to make some charge cooler pipes up , but i need to cut some angles out the ali pipwork and i will loose the lip on the end of the pipe , is it ok to put silicon hoses on without the lip? will have some proper heavy duty clamps on

The lip will help the pipe stay on, if you just use clamps you might crush the pipe if it has a thin wall. If its thicker walled pipe it might be ok.

DONT use thin pipes, just not worth the hassle.ali is what split on mine, going stainless.

got 2mm ali ones , got some stainless ones but they a bit to thick , been told they will hold the heat to much , the ali supposed to heat up/cool down quicker

Agreed on the stainless pipes. Looks nice and it's very strong :-) I wouldn't worry about the boost pipes retaining heat mate. It's not a problem if the chargecooler is a good one ;-)

will try the ali ones first as they already cut to size and bent.....if not then the stainless needs to be cut and bent....

got a pace chargecooler going on , its not as big as anormal one but the place i am trying to fit it is very tight!
