V6 4 Motion Suspension

Has anybody with a Mk 4 V6 4 Motion uprated their suspension (shocks and springs) without going down the coilover route? If so what did you go for, how much lower than standard and how much did it cost?

I've fitted AP's on mine and posted on here. A fair few others have used them aswell and like them.

I picked up some genuine R32 shocks & springs. It lowers my 4motion 20mm front, 30mm rear (I think!) But has transformed the general handling without affecting ride & general comfort. & much cheaper than coilovers etc.... My R32 setup cost £60, bargain!!

Hi all

I've been looking around for a good suspension kit for my

V64motion .

I have spoken to several tuners and they've said that the

car isn't that great in handling anyway so all you will be doing

is stiffening and already lousey ride?

Also they mentioned that the car isn't reliable when tuned

and if I went down the turbo route I will be having a lot

of trouble with it?

Has anyone on here had this issue before as I enjoy my

golf and I don't really want to get shot of it just to

get some power gains?

Which tuners have you spoken to?

The suspension is going to improve the handling fact.

Ash bungy on here, can't remember which kit he's got, but i think he's happy with the way they handle.

Any car, when tuned, probably becomes less reilable, just because of the fact that your trying to get the most out of the stock engine.

Would love to know who you spoke to because mine handles and grips really well. Anyone who saw it go round the ring in the wet will second that.
