  1. I picked up some genuine R32 shocks & springs. It lowers my 4motion 20mm front, 30mm rear (I think!) But has transformed the general handling without affecting ride & general comfort. & much cheaper than coilovers etc.... My R32 setup cost £60, bargain!!
  2. When removed, the Nav unit will have a serial number stamped into the casing on one side, take this code to VW (with some ID, V5 just in case!!) & they'll get the correct code... doesn't take long. Then (here's the important bit!) you need to leave the ignition on to 2nd position, then turn the Nav on for about an hour... after this the unit will stop reading 'safe' on the screen, you'll be able to select the numbers to add the code again & all will be fixed! Driving the car with the Nav for an hour doesn't work... I tried! It has to be ignition on, & NAV on, also it can't be re
  3. I'm coming up in my Mk4 v6 4motion, my neighbour is coming in his Mk3 VR6 supercharged! & our friend is bringing his chipped Ibiza Fr diesel..... should be a good day!!
  4. Has yours got the standard HID dipped beam? I'm in the same boat as was hoping to change the sidelight bulbs to ultrabright white LED's to compliment the Xenon's better.... but it looks as though I'd have to remove the front bumper & light units to get around the ballast packs, not easy if your not confident especially as I've got the headlamp washers in the bumper too. Has anyone got any experience in this area??
  5. I have the same headights in my X reg 4motion. As far as I'm aware it's completely standard as I have the headlight washers in the front bumper & the light switch on the dash only has decals & 'click for rear fog lamp.' I presumed with the intensity of HID, a fog light wouldn't have enough strength to make a difference. I have seen aftermarket fog lamp kits which replace the bumper grills, look at volksbits.com but don't know how easy this would be to wire in.
