vr6 aircon radiator q-s

HI , i am looking at finishing my install with the charge cooler and wondering to save space and weight could i do the following

1.air con never used , could i leave the pump in place and disconnect pipes to radiator?

2.use aircon radiator hooked up to my charge cooler

will it be ok to leave the pump connected to engine so it can always be connected back up , remove the fuse so it cant be turned on/

saves me putting another radiator on as i already have a gearbox cooler and oil cooler in the front!

I use an aircon radiator for my chargecooler too. You need quite a powerful water pump though as it's quite restrictive. Cools the water really well though!

Not sure about your Air con pump queries though as my car never had it, but I can't see any harm in leaving it connected and just freewheeling.

well got the bosch pump to power it along....just trying to save on weight.....is it easy to disconnect? well if i am not using it anyway then its just freewheeling and i can always hook it back up when not needed?

how have you set yours up? is the radiator the feed or return?

The tank is 3 US Gallons, so a little under 12 litres.

I have mine like this:-

Tank -> Radiator -> Chargecooler -> Return to tank.

Some people have it this way when running ice for sprints :-

Tank -> Chargecooler -> Radiator -> Return to tank

yeah i thought about running it tank > charge cooler > rad > return , thought it would be more efficient cooling the heated water before returning to tank and also keeping the flow pressure higher

yeah saw tank looks sweet....
