quick and easy chain guide replacement?

Recommended Posts

So im half way through my rebuild and i have kept the engine in the car because i did not have the money to buy an engine stand and i also thought i wouldnt need to be doing too much work, but id finished with my head, new seals, bit of a cleanup n that, and i go to put it all back in and i realised i needed to replace both upper chain gide rails as one had snapped and the other was broken by me :(

My question is, is there and easier was to fit the upper tentioner guide, the one that is on a pivot?

I am just about to start to take the box, clutch and fly wheel off so i can get to it :(

Do you recon i sould get away with just leaving the shafts attached and also hydro clutch and cables? whilst sitting it on the floor ?
