davee 0 Posted January 22, 2010 Report Share Posted January 22, 2010 ive been having trouble with my clutch lately and decided to bleed it what i done was got someone to hold the clutch peddle down then i opened the bleed nipplegot a splurge of air and fluid just a small bit then close the nipple done this a few times and now the clutch is worse i cant even engage a gear now .what did i do wrong???????? bungy 2 Posted January 22, 2010 Report Share Posted January 22, 2010 Did you use a flexi pipe on the end of the bleed nipple? Are you sure you never let the resevoir get low enough to allow air in. Have you considered using a bleed kit? Link to post Share on other sites

stardelta 0 Posted January 24, 2010 Report Share Posted January 24, 2010 Hi...what you need to do is attach a flexible pipe to the bleed nipple, get a clean jar and 1/3 fill it with new clean brake fluid (same stuff you are going to top the clutch resovoir up with) submerse the other end of the flexible pipe in the jar, make sure the resovoir is at max and loosen nipple and push clutch pedal to the floor slowly and while pedal is flat to the floor do the nipple up and now release pedal, check reovoir fluid and top up to the max again and repeat until all air is expelled, obviously to do this properly you will need a helper or buy one of them one man bleed kits made by gunson, hope this helps Link to post Share on other sites
