julesz 0
Can anyone remember where you fill up the rear washer? My front works but not the back. Do they come from the same tank or is there a separate one?
SankysVR6 1
i think it's the same tank because i haven't seen one in the boot
Desire68 0
It is the same bottle as the front, located under the bonnet. You have probably run the bottle low or empty and then tried to use the back washer, this then pulls up all the crap from the bottom of the bottle and blocks the pipe going to the rear screen.Check both pipes going to the pump on the bottle and check that the pump is working as well!!Hope this helps.Mike. cliveyp 0
aye, same bottle! Just keep your fingers crossed that the pipe's not split.........
stu h 0
mine doesn't work either...too cold to be buggering about with it at the mo.assuming it has blocked somewhere- possibly split.wots the best way of unblicking it - cos the pipe runs the length of the car??cheers
Desire68 0
If it's only blocked, then all you should need to do is disconnect the pipe from the pump and drain it,the blockage may be in the nozzle on the screen,if this is the case then use a saftey pin to unblock it.Keep doing this until you get the normal jet back!!Hope this helps,Mike. mark@vagworx 0
Or, if like mine, the nozzle got broken in a jet washing incident, then you've got no chance! lol Water just floods down the bottom of the tailgate, down the bumper and gives the tarmac a dam good clean! cesvr6 0
Ahhhh.........Minty, this is what mine does, how do i go about fixing it? ( sorry..girly question! )
antera309 3
this is what mine does' date=' how do i go about fixing it? ( sorry..girly question! ) [/quote']I did this repair. The jet pulls out from the inside of the wiper motor assembly, accessible when you take the tailgate interior trim panel off. Disconnect the washer hose and pull the jet out from the inside. Be warned, it can break off inside it's guide VERY easily. If this happens (like it did on mine), you'll need to drill out the remains from the outside (I found that turning the drill's "hammer action" on worked well here).Once the guide is clear, the replacement (cheap from VW) is just a push fit. Reconnect the hose and adjust the jet with a safety pin.[ Edited Tue Dec 21 2004, 01:42AM ]
