Ben Seabrook 4
fitted mine without heat wrapping mate and I know Jim's isn't either - tbh don't think it makes much of a difference and certainly not heard of anything melting !! I hope not !
craggsy 91
It helps keep exhaust gasses hot so the exit quicker when wrapped.

J5KE F 0
I would always wrap a manifold if only to keep under bonnet temps down!!!
Ben Seabrook 4
Serious question - how bad will the temps get though above and beyond a normal manifold ?Can always invest in a set of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BONNET-SPACERS-RAISERS-Subaru-Impreza-STI-wrx-Turbo_W0QQitemZ190357658852QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2c52335ce4 ;)
Mackenzie 6
I would wrap it, my mate has gone through 3 of the black plastic intake pipes in the last year, because off them melting. His brakes also failed cause it melted the brake fluid container thingy.

bungy 2
Always best to wrap it if you can. When / if you do then soak it in a bucket of water and wrap as tight as you can. When it dries it will shrink and get even tighter.
