i fitted a 6 branch manifold and did not heat wrap it

now ive heard this can melt parts in the engine bay is this through?

can i sheild the heat some how with it all ready fitted?

taking it back off is not an option now

has anyone fitted one of these without wrapping them

fitted mine without heat wrapping mate and I know Jim's isn't either - tbh don't think it makes much of a difference and certainly not heard of anything melting !! I hope not !

Do you mean Mr Potter ......as he wont have an exhaust manifold. He has a tubby mani and a downpipe, they wont need wrapping

isn't - wasn't !!! brain is addled !! but I know when I was putting mine on he said he didn't wrap his, in fact mine was wrapped but we had to remove it - but that's a whole new story :-( :$

Serious question - how bad will the temps get though above and beyond a normal manifold ?
