VRmonster 1 Posted December 12, 2004 Report Share Posted December 12, 2004 ok, my car has been parked up and unused for about 4 months, maybe longer. i went to move it today with a new battery. the turned over fine but didnt start, so i put a touch of petrol in it as the guage was quite low, still nothing. then i realised thatthe oil light was flashing, so i checked the oil and had to throw 5 litres into it. now she still wont start lol.when i turn the ignition to aux, the light flashes, then it stays solid after a while, then when i turn it over it flashes again but still wont start. there is more than enough oil in but it wont go. is there a cutoff switch of any sort related to oil pressure. also should i be able to hear the oil pump as its been a long time since ive heard my VR and i think it may be the pump not priming.any other suggestions welcomed as im desperate to get her going because its on my uncles driveway and he needs it moving before tuesday.[ Edited ] Link to post Share on other sites

VRmonster 1 Posted December 14, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 ok, well i decided to have the car collected and taken to a garage, he found a fault in the wiring harness, not sure where yet it was a rather quick phone call. ive now asked him to keep the car, and fix a few other problems. should be back out n about soon. yey. thanks anyway andrew.
