faigolfgti 0 Posted December 7, 2009 Report Share Posted December 7, 2009 As topic above,lately i saw some information regarding how to tune vr6 back to factory spec. if you have replace thorttle body,idling valve and other sensor from the engine,you need to use the vag-1551 to do adaptation and basic setting and i wanted to know what is that?Thank You. thegoth 5 Posted December 7, 2009 Report Share Posted December 7, 2009 on an obd2 engine the throttle body can reset itself if you turn the ignition on but not start the car. takes about 15mins.Otherwise if you disconnect the battery for half an hour the ECU will reset / forget. Adaption is done during the first few runs. On the first one you need to allow the car to warm up on idle, with no electrics on, until the fan kicks in, Link to post Share on other sites
