Recommended Posts

I beleive this is for the yearly service.

Just wondering what work is recommended?

all filters? fuel filter also? carbon filter?

plugs? what type are specified?

leads?

coolant change, brake fluid?

also what oil is best to use, synta silver seems to have been discontinued and fuchs recommended in its place?

so any advice on the work to be carried out and best products to use would be great, cheers in advance!

if this is your first service since owning the car, then assume nothing has been done in the past...

Fuel Filter, Oil, Coolant, plugs, brake fluid. pollen filter. dont think it matters either way about the carbon filter.

Plug wise, I've got NGK's for my Corrado, have a see what condition your leads are in, if youve got no issues with misfiring etc... then you will probably be fine.

Ive got a bmc panel filter on mine, it fits straight into the standard airbox but is better for the car and lasts a lot longer so the extra price is worth it....

Leads, oil filter and fuel filter i use all genuine vw parts, or if your leads are ok i wouldnt worry... you can uprate them but the standard ones do the job fine....

I think the best Coolant to use is G12++ from a VW dealer.

I used Carlube brake fluid on mine, seems good.

All fairly simple and straightforward to do.... but if you get stuck on anything give us a shout. :) :)
