scott8629 0 Posted December 3, 2004 Report Share Posted December 3, 2004 I have just weighed my VR on the works weighbridge.It had 1/4 tank of fuel in her and the usual crap in the boot.The weight was......................1180KG!I thought that was very light for a VR.My car has no air con though so this will help.Before you ask the weighbride is very accurate as our customers get charged on its value.It goes up in steps of 20kg.Scott Link to post Share on other sites

acf8181 0 Posted December 3, 2004 Report Share Posted December 3, 2004 yeah, people (usually mkII owners) tend to think the mkIII is very heavy, but its not.in fcat i think the mkII and mkIII are the closest golfs in weight. the jump from mkI to mkII, and from mkIII to mkIV, and from mkIV to mkV is more i think.did you know that out vr6's weigh less than a bmw mini as well?! tis true, they weigh about 1250kg!
