swaper 0
I am planning to use the smaller 2,25" pulley on my V9F s/c. That is supposed to offer about 11.0 Psi of boost to the intake manifold. Additionaly as idecided to make a custom water cooler to wrap the intake hose ( by using an aluminium nice box + Bosch water circulator + big oil cooler + temp gauge + temp operating valve + coolant liquid )After that, i guess i have to remap my chip as the mixture will be more lean. The question is : What size of exhaust manifod should i use ? My 63mm is enough, or i have to replace it with a 70mm one ?????I love to get your comments ...
Antihero1981 8
i would keep it the same ,dont see the point in changing it at 11psi
rodney 17
what kind of BHP are you after?? 2.5 inch is usally fine especially if you are running a 2 box system. any more than that and you strart to have difficulties over the rear sub frame..The bigger thing will be your CAT. If you have one or are required to have one. If it is standard it will not be for very long as the heat will kill it. So a high flow CAT is important.Really you dont need to be going to a 3 inch until you are clearing the 300bhp levels... otherwise you will loose a lot of the low end torque for every day driving......I hope it helps... Let us know how you numbers come out..
swaper 0
I hope to reach 270 @ cranck after all .. I only have a tail box and not any CAT still. The max torque now ( @ 7.4 Psi ) is 250.00 Lb.ft ...
FishWick 21
Exhaust size isn't that important with Superchargers.I ran the stock 2.25" system on my Stage 3 (12 psi) Vortech and it made 320hp easily.
swaper 0
Are u using the intercooler sequence ? What chip are u using ? Is it stupid to ask for the same chip , u are using ??? ( in my country , i do NOT trust the programmers for that ... )
FishWick 21
That was ages ago, I run a turbo now. That was no intercooler at all, just water injection. That was an OBD2 chip mapped by Stealth RacingI use a standalone now and do my own mapping :-)
