what size speakers in front doors?

like the title says, what size are the speakers in the front doors of my mk3 (3 door if it makes a difference)?

make your own out of MDF, its not hard and doesn't need to be perfect as you won't see them.

make sure is sealed though as leakage will be detrimental to bass and will lower the power handling of the speaker, also golf has components so if your jbls are only two way you can get harsh treble cause of two tweeters running and if standard tweeters disconnected can result in loss of imaging as the tweeter will fire straight into your feet

its better just to get some new 17 components all round m8. I've now got a set of pioneer 15's ffrom my golf mk2 that wont fit and im saving for bigger speakers now.

yeah, was looking at the back ones - the speakers i have -have a seperate tweeter which would be perfect for the back. gonna get some new ones for the front, might try and make some adaptors for the back ones - they are really good speakers JBL GT5.0 i think

just make sure you get components withseparate 3-way crossovers for the front, or it'll be even more of a PITA to fit.

Did they all come fitted with components? Can't hear much from the grills on my dash.

yep, all mkIII's did...you deffo should be able to hear them. pull the grill off and see if theres a speaker under there.
