Decisions hard to make...

Recommended Posts

Right well over the last few months iv contemplated selling my car, mainly for the reason that to get it up to my standard it will cost quite abit of money, i would want a re-spray new suspension all round and some engine work doing. Plus i have always wanted a highline... so i dont no weather or not to save my money that id spend on this one or spend it on a new car getting that to how i want....

I would pretty much sell an organ to have either highline or Porsche 928....

Some advice/opinions would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Elliot

I have never been a fan of all this highline non highline business myself. Just get a car looking good and how you are happy with it. Mine hass a higher spec interior than a highline as I dont like leather, Recaros were an optional extra across the range as was clamte control....only thing that stops mine being a highline is on the logbook as even the colour is highline colour.

You will never be happy with how your car looks as you know its bad points.

People love my car and would want it but I think its way short of the standards of other peoples cars on here, but im happy with my car as its a ongoing thing with me. Really do need to get rust bubbles sorted along with arches folding flat so R888s dont catch when on track etc tec

I could go on and on about my car but not worth it as they are only small things really, it runs day to day and has never let me down once....apart from when i crashed it 3 or so yrs ago

Also remember 2nd hand car prices are falling so you wont get a massive amount for any 2nd hand car, let alone a modified one. Unless thats what someone wants. You've tried before and not had much look. But its upto you at end of day.

better the devil you know than the devil you dont .....so they say

i know i know, and i know that its only just run in, but it purely in my head im scared of something serious going wrong with it, not that iv had any problems what so ever to date...i just think if i could get a younger chasis/body then it takes half my problems away instantly...i have slight rust issues underside! lol

Before I get flamed, I know it's not VAG. But I bought a new ST3 just over a year ago and was never really happy with it. I could find fault and floors all over the car, but looking back that was because my expectations were so high. You'll find fault with whatever you buy.

Here's my previous.

Knew it would get a reaction, but unless you've had different cars how do you know what's good and what's not. I have 2 VAG cars at the moment and have always gone back to German build quality after trying others. You'll be telling me you don't like Supra's next.

Very commendable, but what i'm trying to say is that whatever you have you will always find fault. So maybe stick with what you've got and make it the best it can be.
