Hazel 0
I'm building a Beach Buggy at the moment, a complete begineer! learning along the way.But at the same time I'm thinking of restoring a Mk2 and making into a Rally car. Where did you all start with fixing up your cars?I'm new on the forum to, so I dont know if this is the right place to ask for help and any advise...
boostjunkie 0
A really solid shell, roll cage, sump guard, very good brakes etc,tbh it depends on what you want to do with it, if it's road rallys then a stripped out golf with some nice big lights and basic upgrades to brakes, bushes if it's a full on rally car then you need to be looking for rally prep books and get the msa handbook as it will have the min requirments for the class you want to compete in, cheersMatt
bungy 2
Rot free shell, stripped, seam welded and a full cage welded in place. You would have to make all changes prior to paint so everything would need mocking up first and all brackets/fixing points sorted. Sounds like an exciting project.
ingham 5
the first thing to do is get the regs of the rally that you are thinking of entering , read the regs and go from there, no point building a car that fails to meet regs , msa blue book is good start
