FishWick 21
That's always a good test when mapping. Overrun the engine for ages, and then floor it. What happens on a lot of cars is the mixture goes too lean for a moment, causing the hesitation.Usually a lazy lambda or bad mapping. Has it been remapped at all? Could even be a MAF issue or even a throttle issue if OBD2?
Bobtrude 0
its chipped by c2. It could be a lazy lambda because I havent heard about this before. . . . and theres alot of people using c2 chip. Is there any way to check the lambda?
Bobtrude 0
anybody? how do i check a bad lambda?
FishWick 21
Put a high impedance voltmeter across chassis ground and the lambda's signal wire (white I think) and when the engine's warm, the voltage should fluctuate between 0.1 and 0.8 V. If it's stable at 0.45V, it's either dead or still in warm up mode (need to do this when it's hot).I'd change the lambda anyway if you're in any doubt and only use a genuine one.
