stockers 1 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Share Posted June 16, 2009 hhi all, has anyone topped up or changed their gearbox oil?i know vw don't specify changing the oil but my gearbox just feels a little 'un smooth' i guess and thought that maybe changing the oil would make it a little smoother, going into second can be a bit crunchy.not the best decription i know lol Link to post Share on other sites

stockers 1 Posted June 20, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 20, 2009 hi all, after taking it up to my mechanic, it turns oout the oil was fine and all it needed was the gear linkage for 2nd gear adjusting slightly, so if anyone else has a bit of a crunch primarily on one gear only have this checked out, my bill was only £20 !!!!!!!cheers all Link to post Share on other sites
