craggsy 91
Right i've installed the rotrex as per pictures that ive got of other peoples cars and rotrex's pictures. So may be wrong.Charger itself is in right place, with 90degree elbow going down towards floor with MAF then air filter.Pipe from charger to throttle body with by pass valve plugged from pipe to 90degree elbow as per pictures. I have 1 more outlet on elbow but not sure where it goes to, on pics from guy I bought from his is OBD1 and that pipe connects to ISV pipe...but what about OBD2.Fuel pressure regulator I posted up yesterday has the fuel return pipe plumbed in to it and then from where old pressure regulator was on fuel rail now has a return valve on it that plumbs into fuel pressure reg.VAC pipe runs from inlet manifold to a t peice that goes to by pass valve and fuel pressure reg.Does that sound about right as it wont idle at all.I will be calling Storm tomorrow to pick there brains.Have ran VAGCOM and no engine faults pop up at allI havent a clue fom there now...........any help is appreciated
Ben Seabrook 4
do you run the MAF before the charger with a Rotrex then ?? can you post a pic or two of the setup ?
craggsy 91
yep maf before charger..........not got no fully done pics yet as I need to tidy it up still
rodney 17
does it smell like flooding????Also pop the connectors on and off to see if the car works with either the MAF connector and/or the Lambda.. Looking to see if the ECU is getting/not getting flow information from either. Always possible you disturbed or didnt quite make a connector on the new cable sections. Ben Seabrook 4
have you added bigger injectors as well ?

binliner 0
What exactly is it doing?Sounds silly but have you double checked all the obvious things, it might not necessarily be charger related
thegoth 5
have you reset the ECU?
rodney 17
ok so does it well... does the rev counter just drop full stop or make an effort?? trying to understand if the ignition system got disturbed or if it is an ecu type signal dropping it off.
Dave Lea 4
had my ecu of and it wouldnt idle ti i reset the tb setings

Also when i put my foot on accelerator it does nothing maybe gets rpm to 2500 a most.have you reset the ECU? Now ive not tried that.....easy one to do that as it would need reseting
craggsy 91
Its still light so might try the reset ECU now
craggsy 91
Disconnected battery for about 5 mins and it seems to have made it better......hunts between 600rpm and 1100 rpm and i can rev engine now. Good call Nige, and i'll call Storm in Morning. Will run VAGCOM again in morning to see whats being said. Thanks everyone it is very much appreciated

craggsy 91
Might be ribbed belt not tight enough as I can see a mark where lad i bought it from had the idler pulley so will pull it off and play with it.Also ive not cut a bit off the standzard tensioner either. But surely a slightly loose belt wouldnt cause idling issues
Ben Seabrook 4
well it did make mine worse not to the extent yours was but certainly noticeable - took me a few attempts to get the tension in the belt right and destroyed a few trying !!
