Ben Seabrook 4 Posted May 14, 2009 Report Share Posted May 14, 2009 If i remember correctly you have to remove the thermostat housing on the side of the block first and then you can just twist and pull the crack pipe out - if you have a metal gruven one at least you don't have to worry about it breaking when you do this !! legvw 0 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Share Posted May 15, 2009 Think there just normal o-rings, just replace with a bit o grease on the o-ring, so as not to damage the o-ring when fitting back into the hole in the block. Also make sure the hole is clear of rust, else it won't seal properly. Link to post Share on other sites

Antihero1981 8 Posted May 20, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 20, 2009 well managed to get it out without taking out battery.....When you put it back in do you assemble the crack pipe in housing then put into block?def need new o-rings.....the one has a slight break , hence the leak i think....they must of damaged it when putting it in....thanks for the help guys , came out pretty easy , hope it goes back in easy..lol Link to post Share on other sites
