gavinvr6 0
guys i got my car scanned today and this is what it came up with, can someone just tell me if it read the ecu right. it was read by a gendan fault code readerc1 menureader code 0201 vag code 00513 engine speed sensor g28-this came up twice first time scanned 0203 00515 hall sendor g4 0215 00533 idle speed regulation 0229 00553 air mass meter g70c2 menu 0122 00290 speed sensor rear left g46 0101 00257 abs inlet valve front left n101 0116 00278 main abs valve n105 0214 00532 supply voltage (but dont say what for) 011f 00287 speed sensor rear right g44cane some one please explain what this means, im guessing basically shagged abs and maf. hall sender = cam sensor behind coil pack. idle speed regulation is a stuffed isv. engine speed sensor = a crank or flywheel sensor of some sort??? if im wrong please correct me. will be re-testing the car tommorow after ive taken her for a run and will edit with a final list.also if anyone has any of the parts listed above that are known to be working please gis a price. or another vr6 bites the dust
thegoth 5
the 00513 will always come upon an OBD1 if the engine isn't running. The ISV is easy to clean if need be. As can the cam sensor (G40) and the MAF. Carb cleaner for the first two and electronic contact cleaner for the MAF. My little book has 00532 relating to the tranmission control module relay. ABS? which might be the overall cause of the valve errors and even maybe the wheel sensor. How does the car run?
gavinvr6 0
when its moving its a typical vr6 schitsphreniac, passive when pootling about and a friggin animal when wound up. it tends to stall at lights or junction most of the time or if sittingin traffic but sometimes it dont do it, the abs thing is a bit of a worry since i only fitted a used abs pump 18 months ago at great expense along with all new sensors. but the abs pump is making a whirrring sound, the cam sensor is spotless, almost mirror polished clean by my own fair hands. and the isv and isv baffle box have both been cleaned to within an inch of its life. i havent touched the maf through fear of breaking it since im a little club handed. but on visual inspection it looks clean. and the little wire is still there. i've carb cleaned the isv plus baffle and fitted new clips, and carb cleaned the cam sensorive had the lot reset and will re-scan and add the remaining codes to the list for a final decision. i think the cam sensor may of been where i took it off to clean it and not reset anythingsince. possibly the same for the rear wheels sensors when i dont the rear brakes. plus my rears are binding again due to sticky sliders so that might be throwing up the speed sensor thing, oh and my brake warning light came on yesterday as well. lolsorry for the essay just wanna be as clear as possible and give as much info as i can, i cant afford to replace all that stuff listed so need to make a decision as to how much i love my car, i only paid 1300 for it and it already owe's me 2500 in repairs alone in the last 3 years
