Eddy_y 0 Posted April 9, 2009 Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 my car is experiencing several problems :-Erratic idle (between 200-700 rpm)- lound bangs from the engine bay (from the upper left left, somewhere near the throttle body)- excessive fuel consumption- Strong fuel smellsi know it's NOT the MAF, O2 sensor or the distributor.my car is 1992 golf vr6any feedback would be helpful, Thx Link to post Share on other sites

Knightrider 1 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Share Posted April 10, 2009 As your motor is OBD1, go on the Corrado Forum and havve alook and a post. They might be able to help - there is a lot of good stuff on there and Corrados seem to have many more of these kinds of problems than Golfs. My son has a 1994 Corrado VR. I have a 1997 Golf VR.
