ok ok ok im here .... well all it should cost u is the price of the cab and a smacked vr ( its very eas if you do have a complete donor car) ... just swap every thing over, engine and loom, gearbox, rear axle, brakes, suspension, clutch hyd, rad, front panels are the same, just need to take your time on the wiring really, if u wanna know any more just pm me mate or pop down one weekend and we can have a chat and ill show u mine ... oo err misses lol

out of curiosity why would u need to swap the rear axle? i can understand the front end shocks arb's blah blah blah but why the rear?

i've also been thinking about this as the misses wants a ragtop but i cant not have a vr engine in my life lol

in all honesty how hard is this conversion? im no mechanic but dont mind having a bash, but complete engine out with wiring loom replacement and mucking about with peddle box's is a little out of my legue. i got a possible donor vr lined up for 500 quid and just need to source a half sensible cab. wanna go for higher spec trim like leathers and what not, probably see if i can find one with a blown engine or something

dont need to do any thign with the pedal box just fit a hyd clutch which is bolted to the bulk head ... its pretty easy but you do need a basic know how of wiring really as i had to cut and splice the two looms together as i was putting a 93 engine in a 98 car ... apart from that it shoudl be done and running in about 3 or maybe 4 weekends ... im always willing to help anyone that want to do ti adn ill come along in my cab so u can have a `one i made eailer ` to look at lol

now ya just showing off lol

but as soon as i can get the funds i'll give u a shout. i'll probably be getting an older cab to make the swap easier and probably have to butcher my vr for parts so everything will be there, would it not be easier to just rip out the entire loom and swap em or is that being silly?

i only used the loom from the fuse board to the engine so i didnt have to mess around with the whole car loom ...
