Quick turbo Question - T04R

Recommended Posts

The turbo doesnt have one of the anti surge housings which I had been wanting, would I be able to just take it down to an engineering shop to have the holes drilled or is there more to it than that?

Nah more cos they sound shit hot wth the anti surge houseing thats all, love the whine you ge of turbos that run them.

Turbo is used but has no pay in the shafts, made 520whp at 1.2 bar on the previous car it was on, a Supra that only ran that setup for about 2000miles or so. Its £350.

Well as your car is a left hooker pretty much all the US "kits" will fit your car so that should make things a little simpler.

Quaiffe is a type of differential. The standard diff, when you start wheel spinning its usually the N/S wheel that spins as its shorter and easier to spin and leaves you going nowhere fst.

With a diff from the likes of Quaiffe or Peloquin the power gets transfered to whichever wheel actually has traction.

Pretty simple explanation but hope it helps, Have a look through Kevs DIY Turbo thread, so so informative.
